About CASADA

Our aim is to improve later life for everyone through our information and advice, campaigns, products, training and research.

Who we are

Cancer and Dementia Awareness and Support for Africa (CADASA) is a Non-Governmental Organisation based in the United Kingdom to create awareness on Cancer and Dementia among Africans and provide support as may be required.

The CADASA programme was conceived some years back but finally delivered on Easter Sunday 01/4/2018 as part of the discussions on showing love and kindness to mankind, not just in words but in actions and deeds.

The understanding and awareness of Cancer and Dementia is very limited among Africans. Some have a different belief about the conditions. Sometimes, they believe that someone affected by cancer is being attacked by some evil forces. And if an elderly person has got dementia; they may think he or she is a witch due to the changes in behaviour and weird utterances.

Our vision

Compassionate dementia awareness and support for all families that need it.

Our mission

Raise awareness and understanding of Cancer and Dementia.

A world in which older people flourish is a world in which older people will:

  • be equal citizens with equal rights
  • have enough money for a secure and decent life, and have access as consumers to the products and services they need at a price they can afford
  • have access to the healthcare and social care they need
  • have the opportunity to live healthier longer lives and to enjoy a sense of well-being
  • live in homes and neighbourhoods that are safe and comfortable and which enable them to lead fulfilling lives
  • have opportunities to participate and contribute as volunteers, active citizens, good neighbours, family members, and workers
  • enjoy the benefits of longer life, wherever they are in the world.
