Using multimedia resources and in-person education may be an effective approach to improve knowledge and awareness of Cancer and Dementia. There are various means of doing this. These are few media means of carrying out the awareness; Social media (Facebook, Twitter, IG etc), Pamphlets, flyers, banners, TV & radio programs and tracts.

Old people suffering from cancer and Dementia in Sub Saharan Africa are often been abandoned or kicked out on the street by the families leaving them with no help. Providing accommodation for such people will go a long way helping them through. They deserve to be sheltered and looked after.

Improving dementia awareness and friendliness, access to services and dementia risk reduction are challenges that countries in Africa must tackle. Considering the evident lack of ethical, social and legal protection of people with dementia in Africa, it is essential that rights are recognized, respected and protected to empower people living with dementia, those who support them and the community as a whole. We will be helping countries in Africa see need for all these.
